The Lyngvi Chronicles - Beasts of Nunavut

The Skoll pack lives in a territory dominated by arctic tundra, which makes living omnivorous difficult due to the lack of vegetation in the hardy conditions, so their diet is usually exclusively meat. Skoll pack usually eat arctic hares, foxes, lemmings, moose and caribou but if their usual game is scarce they will hunt and eat bears including Polar Bears - this is a recent discovery that was speculated for a number of years since 1993 when half eaten polar bear carcasses were found and bones of a grizzly bear were found with marks made by adult Fenrisulfr. It was believed that the pack only ate from bear carcasses as scavengers and this was widely believed until footage was caught in 2009 of 3 tagged Skoll pack members harry and pursue a polar bear for 11 miles before the chase ended in the bear’s death, the resulting feeding was also documented.

Due to the short summer and long snowy winters, the Skoll pack are usually lighter in colouration usually Lunar or highly diluted agouti unless they are or descendants of animals from another pack introduced by IPCCF officials.
